Alloy 625 pipe is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum solid-solution strengthened alloy with a nominal chemical composition of 61% nickel, 22% chromium, and 9% molybdenum. Inconel alloy 625 is a non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant, oxidation-resistant, nickel-chromium-based solid solution-strengthened deformation superalloy. Nickel alloy 625 is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based deformed superalloy with molybdenum and niobium as the main strengthening elements. The high strength of the 2.4856 material is due to the hardening combination of molybdenum and niobium on the alloy nickel-chromium matrix. The addition of molybdenum works together with niobium to harden the alloy matrix, providing high strength without strengthening heat treatment.

Alloy 625 Pipe Features
Alloy 625 is extremely resistant to a variety of unusually severe corrosive environments, including high-temperature corrosion effects such as carburization and oxidation. Due to the solid solution of the refractory materials Co and Mo in the nickel-chromium matrix, 2.4856 alloy 625 has excellent strength and toughness in the high-temperature range down to 2000°F (1093°C).

Advantages of Nickel Alloy 625

  • N06625 material is resistant to oxidation at high temperatures up to 1050°C.
  • Din 2.4856 resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and intergranular corrosion;
  • Inconel 625 pipe is resistant to stress corrosion cracking caused by chloride;
  • Nickel alloy 625 has good resistance to acids (such as nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric, and hydrochloric acids) and alkalis
  • Alloy 625 material has good processing performance and welding performance;
  • Alloy 625 seamless pipe is resistant to stress corrosion in salt spray atmosphere;
  • ASTM B444 N06625 pipe has high corrosion fatigue performance and high tensile strength;
  • ASTM B444 UNS N06625 pipe has excellent mechanical properties at low to extremely high temperatures;

UNS N06625 Heat Treatment Method Two Grades:

  • Grade 1 annealed material, for annealed heat-treated N06625 Grade 1 alloy (annealed ≥ 871°C/1600°F), is typically used at service temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C). Nickel 625 has a minimum tensile strength of 827 Mpa (120 ksi), a minimum yield strength of 414 Mpa 60 ksi, and a minimum elongation of 30%.
  • grade 2 solution annealed, TS 690 MPa (100 ksi) minimum, YS 276 MPa (40ksi) minimum, elongation 30% minimum. Alloy 625 pipe is typically used where operating temperatures are above 1100°F (593°C) and creep and fracture resistance are required.
