Inconel 600 is a chromium-nickel alloy, Inconel 600 pipe has strong heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance. Designed for use in temperatures up to 2000°F and down to cryogenic levels. Alloy 600 pipe is resistant to reducing environments as well as chloride stress corrosion cracking due to its nickel content and less oxidizing conditions due to its chromium content. UNS N06600 pipe is an austenitic alloy with high nickel content, non-magnetic, and excellent mechanical properties at both high and low temperatures.

Inconel 600 Heat Treatment
Inconel 600 is a high-temperature alloy. The heat treatment process includes solution treatment (1093°C), quenching, and precipitation hardening treatment (982°C). Solution treatment eliminates intergranular phases, quenching prevents their regeneration, and precipitation hardening increases hardness and strength.
