Alloy 718 is a nickel-chromium alloy that belongs to the Inconel family of superalloys. The chemical composition of 2.4668 Inconel 718 is 50.5% nickel, 18.6% chromium, 3% molybdenum, 5.1% niobium, 0.9% titanium, 0.5% aluminum, and other trace elements. Alloy 718 tube is known for its excellent mechanical properties at high and low temperatures as well as its excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation. Ni alloy 718 can withstand temperatures up to 1300°C (2372°F) without loss of its mechanical properties. Typically, Inconel 718 can withstand temperatures up to approximately 700°C (approximately 1300°F) to 800°C (approximately 1470°F) in continuous use.
