Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance at higher temperatures and good resistance in carburizing and chloride-containing environments. Alloy 600 tubes are designed for use in temperatures from cryogenic to 2000°F (1093°C). The high nickel content of 2.4816 alloy 600 keeps it resistant under reducing conditions, has excellent resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, and is resistant to corrosion by a variety of organic and inorganic compounds. N06600 material is non-magnetic, has excellent mechanical properties along with high strength and good workability, and is easy to weld.
