The main components of 304 stainless steel pipe and 304L stainless steel pipe are 18% chromium (Cr) and 8% nickel (Ni). The main difference between them is that 304L stainless steel is low-carbon 304 steel. In general state, the corrosion resistance of ASME SA312 UNS S30403 pipes is similar to that of 304 stainless steel pipes, but after welding or stress relief, DIN 1.4306 stainless steel pipes have excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. 304L stainless steel pipe is easy to weld and process, without heat treatment, and can maintain good corrosion resistance. With a service temperature of 196°C~800°C, 304L stainless steel exhaust pipe has excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, as well as a low thermal expansion coefficient, making it easier to adapt to various application environments. 304L stainless round pipe is often used in outdoor open-air machines in chemical, coal, petroleum, and other industries that require high resistance to intergranular corrosion, heat-resistant parts of building materials, and parts that are difficult to heat treat.
