Welded Stainless Steel Tube Production Process

Stainless steel 304 welded tube is made by rolling stainless steel strip or sheet into tube shape, and then welded longitudinally. Welded tubing can be done by hot forming and cold forming process. Of the two, cold forming results in smoother finishes and tighter tolerances. However, each method produces a durable, strong, corrosion-resistant steel tube. Seams can be left beaded or further processed by cold rolling and forging methods. SS welded tubes can also be drawn like seamless tubes to produce finer welds with better surface finish and tighter tolerances. At the same time, the mechanical performance, process performance, chemical composition and compressive performance of the welded tube can basically meet the national standard of seamless tube.
