The properties of ASTM B444 UNS N06625 GR 1 make it an ideal material for use in harsh environments where high temperatures and corrosive chemicals are present. For example, 2.4856/N06625 - alloy 625 can be used in chemical processing plants, power generation facilities, and oil and gas drilling operations.

ASTM B444 UNS N06625 Two Grades of Different Heat-treated Conditions:

  • Grade 1 (annealed)-ASTM B444 UNS N06625 Gr 1 is normally employed in service temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C).
  • Grade 2 (solution annealed)-Inconel alloy 625 material is normally employed in service temperatures above 1100°F (593°C) when resistance to creep and rupture is required.

NOTE: Hot-working or reannealing may change nickel alloy n06625 properties significantly, depending on working history and temperatures.

One application of ASTM B444 UNS N06625 GR 1 is in exhaust tubing. Due to its excellent resistance to corrosion, this Inconel steel pipe nickel alloy 625 material is perfect for use in high-temperature applications such as exhaust systems. When compared to other materials like stainless steel, this nickel Inconel 625 exhaust tubing has superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion.
